  • Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.

  • For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

I’ve never left a negative review, but after our experience at Kiku, I felt compelled to share my disappointment. We chose Kiku to celebrate my son’s graduation and reserved a table for 16 guests. Our family has been dining here for years, typically several times a year with large groups, and we have always spent significant amounts during our visits. Unfortunately, this experience was completely unacceptable from start to finish. Despite having a reservation for 16 people, the restaurant refused to seat us because one guest had not yet arrived. We explained that we already knew what the missing guest would be ordering and offered to place their hibachi order in advance so the chef could get started without delay. Since guests order individually and we were willing to submit the missing guest’s order ahead of time, the decision to hold our entire party was both unnecessary and frustrating. As a result, 15 people were left waiting approximately 15 minutes to be seated. What made this even more perplexing was that the restaurant was largely empty during this time. There was no apparent need to delay seating our party, especially given our reservation and willingness to place the

Came here for the first time to have an early Mother’s Day dinner with my family. Reservation was at 7pm and we didn’t get seated until about 8pm. The waiting area was packed and kids were just running all over the place. It was chaos. We finally decided to walk over by the bar and grab drinks while we waited and to get away from the hectic waiting area. We frequently checked to see if table was ready and they kept saying 10 more minutes. Must’ve heard that 3 or 4 times. We finally get seated and was greeted by our waitress, Karen. We ordered our drinks and when my lychee martini came out, they didn’t even fill up the whole martini glass and when I asked her about she said I don’t know. $15 drink and they didn’t even fill it to the top of glass (wish I took a picture). Then we must’ve waited another 15/20 mins until we ordered our food. I noticed a table that sat after us that the cook already started. We got our soup and app that we order but in was surprised they didn’t give a little salad as well like most other places. But anyway, our cook finally came out and we were just glad to get ready to eat. The food was not bad. It was definitely a lot.

I have been wanting to visit KiKu for some time now and last night we went there for dinner. I am disappointed in the experience. The staff: not very accommodating and customer service is not priority, instead they act like there doing you a favor. All of the hostess in the front start the tone of arrogance and create a non welcoming tone. The atmosphere: very open set up and dimmed lighting but we were there for dinner so it was a dinner setting, understood. The food: OMG, not good at all. Now usually with these type of meals there to salty or flavored just right. This was the opposite, the soup was watered down to the ground. The salad was meh, the cooked vegetables were lukewarm warm right from the grill? Not sure how that happened and they taste like soap or something, it was a very strange taste. Basically the vegetable didn’t taste like themselves. The proteins were also flavorless, so strange. We also had rolls for appetizers, the spicy tuna roll was ok but my daughter friend did not like her California roll at all. It just wasn’t a good food experience, I’ve eaten at many Habachi restaurants, this was the most flavorless one in life. The chef: is the reason for the 2 star

This is the second year in a row. My family and I went here for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, our chef was fantastic and super fun, and the portions were huge. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for another great birthday :)
